Credits & Usage

Version 2.1, Effective: Aug 1st, 2025.

Syft uses a hybrid pricing model that scales with the value you unlock from activating intent. Every plan includes unlimited seats, website event tracking, and company identification. Usage is metered with credits when you take action on qualified contacts or accounts.

Core principle

One entity, one charge per month. A unique person or company is charged once per month when activated i.e. when it is acted on by a motion. Here are some examples:

  • Activated Contacts: create/update a CRM Contact, enroll in a sequence, send a Slack, enrich a record, add to an audience.
  • Activated Companies: create/update a CRM Company record, send a Slack alert for company-level site activity.

What consumes credits?

Entity typeWhen it’s chargedCost
Activated Contact: First-partyYou action a known person discovered via your own signals (form fills, logins, LinkedIn interactions, CSV enrichment)1 credit
Activated Contact: De-anonymizedYou action a person we identified from anonymous traffic (de-anon)5 credits
Activated AccountYou action a company that has no contacts activated in that month1 credit

No double charging. If a company is activated and later a contact from that same company is activated in the same month, you’re only charged for the contact (1 or 5 credits). Any prior company charge is automatically applied toward that contact.

Examples of credit usage

  • A site visitor submits a form and triggers a motion → 1 credit (first-party contact)
  • A user logs in and we push them to a sequence → 1 credit (first-party contact)
  • Syft de-anonymizes a high-intent visitor and you enroll them → 5 credits (de-anon contact)
  • We can’t identify the person, but we update the HubSpot Company and route a Slack to the AE → 1 credit (activated account)
  • A company fires three qualified alerts and a score update this month → 1 credit total (one account, one month)
  • You first activate a company (1 credit), then later de-anonymize Jane@company.com and enroll her → 5 credits total for that company this month; the earlier account charge is applied toward Jane

Monitoring Credit Usage

You can monitor the credits used in the current billing cycle in the sidebar as well as via the dashboard on the Plan & Billing page.

Credits Dashboard

The dashboard provides a breakdown of usage by the motions that consumed credits. This gives you a quick way to identify main sources of consumption and customize usage if necessary. You can also check usage over previous billing cycle and other custom durations to understand historical usage and patterns.

Billing & Usage

  • Credits reset monthly on your billing date
  • Unused credits don’t roll over
  • Usage is tracked in real time in your Billing dashboard
  • If you exceed your monthly credits, we’ll keep processing and bill overages at the same per-credit rate as your plan (no punitive overages)
  • Want more included credits? Contact us to upgrade anytime!

FAQ

How do I know if a contact was first-party or de-anonymized? On the contact dashboard, hover over the activated contact count and you will see the breakdown.

What’s an “Activated Account”? A company you action via a motion (CRM updates, routed Slack, ABM audience, account tasks) when no contacts from that company are activated that month. That’s 1 credit.

Will I get charged twice if I touch both the company and a person? No. If both occur in the same billing month, you pay once—for the contact (1 or 5 credits). Any earlier account charge is applied toward that contact.

What if the same person triggers multiple motions? You’re charged once per unique person per month, regardless of how many actions they trigger.

Can I get a refund for unused credits? Credits are non-refundable, but you can adjust your plan or credit allocation for future months.

How do I optimize credit usage? Tighten your motion filters (ICP, Persona, Intent) to target high-intent and high-fit contacts and companies
