Installing the Slack App

You can configure Syft to alert you in real-time about visitors to your website with high intent.

To enable this integration, you will need permissions to install Slack apps in your workspace.

Go to the Integrations page and click "Connect" button to get started.

You'll be presented with a screen to install the Syft Slack app in your workspace. Click Allow.

Getting Slack Notifications

To receive Slack alerts about visitor activity, you need to create a motion. Motions allow you to define the specific activities you want to be notified about.

  1. Go to Motions page.
  2. Use "Real-time Slack alerts" template.
  3. Choose the channel name you want to send notifications to. (eg: #general)
  4. Give a name to your motion. (eg: "All notifications") and create.

When an activity matching your criteria occurs, you'll automatically receive a Slack message.

You can test your motion using the kabob button on the motion.

Receive Notifications on Private Channels

To receive notifications on private channels, first add the Syft App to your channel from the channel settings page as shown below.

You can then select the private channel when creating your motion.
